About us
A family business run by people who are passionate about Scotland and the Highlands and who understand what makes the perfect self-catering holiday
Caledonian Holiday Lets was set up by Helen, Steven and Pat. They all live in Inverness and are hands-on, ensuring that all holiday cottages are maintained to a high standard.
Helen
Having travelled extensively with business throughout the world, Helen has stayed in great venues that often lacked a bit of soul and that personal touch. Helen and Steven chose to honeymoon in the Highlands and now call Inverness their home. They like to take their dog Archie with them on holiday. This often means a compromise when it comes to self-catering accommodation. Consequently, they have stayed in some cottages in stunning locations that have often been remote, cold and draughty. Helen is determined to create the perfect Highland retreat that is cosy, comfortable, luxurious and in a location that offers great scenery and easy access to amenities. She ensures that each cottage is packed with character. Contact Helen on helen@caledonianholidaylets.com
Steven
Born and raised in Scotland, Steven is happiest in the great outdoors fishing, bagging a Munro, playing golf or taking Archie for a walk in the woods. Steven designs and oversees the renovation of each cottage to create the perfect Highland retreat that is a blend of traditional features with a contemporary twist. From roll top baths to spacious kitchen diners and floor to ceiling glass, Steven paces every inch (several times) to make sure the space is functional as well as beautiful.
Pat
Pat knows Inverness like the back of her hand. She knows the best places for a coffee or lunch, the best shops for gifts and is a regular visitor to Eden Court theatre to see the ballet, opera, musicals and comedy. She has very high standards when it comes to the cleanliness and finish of each cottage. From the softness of the towels, to the crisp white bed linen to the clean windows to maximise the views, Pat checks everything with a fine-tooth comb before guests arrive.
